Access Control Assurance

In our global society, how can you be sure who you’re dealing with? Biometrics—technologies that use physical or behavioral characteristics to verify the identity of an individual—allows an individual to efficiently conduct transactions, access locations, and use services as a “recognized entity”.

Fingerprints are ideal biometrics for physical and logical access control. They are unique, permanent features that are easy to collect. However, the security weaknesses and the limited effectiveness of the fingerprint sensors currently in use are significant.

The Lumidigm Solution—
Bringing fingerprints to life™

Lumidigm’s superior multispectral imaging technology collects fingerprint images from surface and subsurface features of the skin. Current technologies have an error rate of up to sixteen percent; Lumidigm’s multispectral imaging technology will reduce inadequate fingerprint images to less than one percent.

Partners

Lumidigm is attracting development partners in a wide range of industries, from consumer electronics to national security. Some of our partners include a leading entertainment company, the United States Air Force, and other agencies of the U.S. Department of Defense.
