Mr. Harbour is a veteran of the biometrics industry. He co-founded Lumidigm Inc. in July 2001 and serves as the CEO, President, and Chairman of the Board. Under his leadership, Lumidigm has introduced highly differentiated biometric products to industry-leading customers while developing a strong and diverse patent position for multispectral imaging technology. Mr. Harbour has attracted an outstanding management team and an exceptional group of investors.

With 30 years of experience, Mr. Harbour is an expert at managing technology-based companies. He serves on the Board of Directors of Start-Up Australia.

Prior to founding Lumidigm, Mr. Harbour successfully started a venture capital company in Australia. As Managing Director, he specialized in early-stage technology companies. Previously, he was active in joint ventures and merger & acquisition activities worldwide while serving as the CEO of the DuPont/FUJIFILM joint venture in electronic imaging and as a board member for several DuPont investee companies. While at DuPont, Mr. Harbour held management positions in R&D, manufacturing, sales & marketing, business development and international operations.

Mr. Harbour graduated from Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota with a BA in Chemistry and from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri with a PhD in Physical Chemistry.

John P. Bessone is Vice President and Regional Director for Private Equity at Fort Washington Capital Partners Group (FW Capital). FW Capital is the institutional private equity arm of Cincinnati-based Fort Washington Investment Advisors, Inc.

Bessone manages the Albuquerque, New Mexico office for FW Capital, serving investment needs by assembling portfolios of direct investments that are diversified by stage and industry. He is responsible for sourcing and evaluating various direct investment opportunities for New Mexico Co-Investment Partners, L.P., a direct co-investment fund in which the New Mexico State Investment Council is the sole limited partner, as well as pursuing business development opportunities for Fort Washington in the Western part of the United States.

A New Mexico resident for 13 years, Bessone has 20 years of experience as a results-oriented investment banker specializing in merger and acquisition advisory work, including evaluating the growth prospects businesses.

Bessone previously served as executive vice president for KTLindustries, Ltd., a private investment banking firm, and was a senior vice president at Stevenson & Company, a full service private investment banking firm. He is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire and Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.

Mr. Birk has over 20 years experience as an operating executive and investor. Prior to forming Sun Mountain Capital, Mr. Birk was a Vice President at Fort Washington Investment Advisors where he managed New Mexico Co-Investment Partners (a single limited partner, state sponsored Fund) and led 8 of the 9 investments originated by the Fund. He also oversaw the New Mexico and Utah in-state Private Equity investment programs with investments in excess of $400 million. Mr. Birk was a founder or senior executive at several high profile start up companies including Applied Minds and BiosGroup. He was a Senior Manager at Boston Consulting Group and a Finance Manager at General Electric and GE Capital. Mr. Birk is currently on the Board of Directors for the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association and is Chair of the Marketing Committee. Mr. Birk serves on the Board of Directors for Sun Mountain’s portfolio companies Exagen Diagnostics and American Clay, in addition to Lumidigm. He also holds observer roles on the Board of Directors for Advent Solar, Aspen Avionics, Eclipse Aviation, and Growstone. Mr. Birk has an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management where he graduated first in his class and a BS in Economics from Carleton College.

Mr. George has more than 35 years experience in founding, operating and investing in successful rapid growth technology-related companies. He is a co-founder of Solstice Capital. From its inception in 1981 to 1989, Mr. George was co-founder, Director, and Vice-President of Finance for Interleaf Inc. During this time, Interleaf, a pioneer in electronic publishing, grew to be a publicly traded company with $100 million in annual revenue. In January 2000, Interleaf was acquired by Broadvision in a stock merger that valued Interleaf at approximately $900 million. Prior to this, Harry was a co-founder, Director and Vice President of Finance of Kurzweil Computer Products, subsequently purchased by Xerox Imaging Systems.

Mr. George has been a Director of a number of private and public companies and is currently a Director of AmpliMed, Lumidigm, High Throughput Genomics, and Regenesis Biomedical. He is a member of the Investors’ Circle and was active with the Arizona Venture Capital Conference, where he was on the conference screening panel from 1997-2003. Mr. George is a member of the advisory committee of the MBA program at the Eller School of Business of the University of Arizona and serves as an advisor to the Arizona Center for Innovation. From 1996 to 2003, he was a Trustee of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and he currently serves as its Vice Chair of Treasure the Desert Capital Campaign. He is also a Trustee of the Tucson Museum of Art. He received an AB from Bowdoin College.

Mr. Miller is President of Miller Strategic Consulting, LLC (MSC). MSC invests in and actively participates in the management and development of entrepreneurial start-up companies. Currently, Mr. Miller is a board member of Lumidigm, InLight Solutions and Avisa Pharma. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Advisors for Wasatch NM Fund and serves on the Advisory Board of Avalon Trust Company. He is also the Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of SITE Santa Fe.

Mr. Miller has co-founded some fifteen start-up companies including Technicare Corporation where he was Executive VP, CFO, and member of the Board of Directors and Hitachi Medical Systems of America, Inc. where he was a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Steering Committee.

Mr. Miller received a BA degree in Philosophy from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MBA in Finance from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, where he continues to serve on the school’s Entrepreneurial Advisory Board.

Dr. Robinson co-founded InLight Solutions (formerly Rio Grande Medical Technologies) in 1993 and has served as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Research for the Company since its inception.

InLight Solutions™ is a world leader in developing light measurement systems for life science applications. The company has a research agreement with LifeScan, Inc. in the field of diabetes and is addressing multiple product opportunities in the medical, food processing, safety, and manufacturing industries.

Prior to co-founding InLight Solutions, Dr. Robinson initiated research into noninvasive blood chemistry monitoring in collaboration with Dr. R. Philip Eaton of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine (UNM-SOM) and Dr. David Haaland, of Sandia, in 1988. Since that time, he has led Sandia’s and UNM-SOM’s research efforts in this field, and has co-authored several comprehensive U.S. patents and patent applications to which the Company now holds exclusive rights. Dr. Robinson has authored several peer-reviewed technical articles, received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the New Mexico Inventor of the Year Program in 1992, and was named the New Mexico Inventor of the Year in 1994.

Dr. Robinson graduated from Stanford University in 1987 with a BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in controls engineering and received an MD degree from UNM-SOM in 1991, undertaking extensive additional studies in electrical and systems engineering.

Tim Rowe is Founder and CEO of Cambridge Innovation Center, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. CIC houses approximately 170 fast-growing technology businesses, and is the largest innovation center in the United States.

Mr. Rowe is also a Venture Partner and Member of the Investment Committee of both the DFJ New England Fund and its successor fund, New Atlantic Ventures.

Mr. Rowe holds degrees from Amherst College and the MIT Sloan School of Management. His early career included a tour in Japan at the Mitsubishi Research Institute, and later in Boston, Madrid, Tokyo and Singapore at the Boston Consulting Group. Mr. Rowe has also served as a lecturer on business strategy at MIT Sloan.

Chris Stone brings over 29 years of public and private technology company operational and entrepreneurial experience from engineering to executive management. Prior to joining EPIC Ventures as a Managing Director, Chris was CEO of SiCortex, makers of the world’s most energy-efficient high performance Linux computers. Prior to SiCortex, he was CEO of StreamServe (acquired by Open Text), a European-based document management company ($70M revenue).

Chris began his career as a systems engineer for Exxon Office Systems. He was recruited to Data General (DGC) in 1980 (now EMC) in software development, and product management. He led the team that built the first multi-user office system on minicomputers (called Comprehensive Electronic Office). Then in 1989, he founded the Object Management Group (creators of the industry software standard CORBA). The Group became known as the organization that brought object-oriented programming and distributed computing over the internet to the mainstream. In 1996, he was recruited as Executive Vice President at Novell (NOVL). Chris was part of the team responsible for the turnaround and resurgence of Novell. The team concentrated on Open Source, Linux, Directory Services (LDAP), and Internet technologies. Chris was responsible for Novell’s strategic direction, M&A (acquiring over 12 companies during this period) and technology leadership focusing on Directory Services and Identity Management/Security. In 1998, Chris formed Novell Ventures, a $50M (growing to $120M) fund that had early stage investments and exits in Red Hat, Akamai, Oblix, NetObjects, Bowstreet, enCommerce, Indus River, and others. His team’s return was over 140% IRR.

Chris founded Tilion, the first hosted software service for supply chain management and eventually merged with two other companies. In 2001, returning to Novell as Vice Chairman, Office of the CEO, he developed the strategy to acquire SuSE Linux and Desktop Linux maker Ximian, which resulted in Novell becoming one of the world’s largest supporters and providers of open source software. Through his career, he garnered numerous Linux and technology related awards, including being named a top ten entrepreneur by Red Herring, and one of The Top 50 People in High Tech by Ziff Davis. Chris is a director of iovation Software in Portland, Oregon and serves on numerous philanthropic boards. Chris has a B.S in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire and an AMP/MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Robison is responsible for shaping Hewlett Packard’s overall technology agenda and for leading the company’s strategy and corporate development efforts including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and partnerships. He leads the technology and strategy councils as well as the development of future technology roadmaps, working closely with HP’s business units and HP Labs.

Mr. Robison was senior vice president and chief technology officer of Strategy and Technology at Compaq Computer Corporation. Prior to joining Compaq, he was president of Internet Technology and Development at AT&T Labs. While at AT&T, he led a 2,000-person team that was responsible for the architecture, planning and development of all of AT&T’s Internet technologies and services.

Prior to AT&T, Mr. Robison was executive vice president, Research and Development, and then served as president of the Design Productivity Group at Cadence Design Systems, the world’s leading supplier of electronic design products and services.

Mr. Robison also spent seven years at Apple Computer Corporation, where he managed research on a wide range of architectures and multimedia technologies, including processors, video, telecommunications, I/O and audio. While at Apple, he held a series of executive-level positions, leaving the company as vice president and general manager of the Personal Interactive Electronics Division.

Mr. Robison’s experience includes work at Schlumberger’s research groups in Silicon Valley, at Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation and consulting for the University of Utah in the area of database systems architecture.

Mr. Robison is a graduate of the University of Utah, from which he received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science.
