Technical training hosted by Alphatech in Brazil will demonstrate how to meet real world application challenges with Lumidigm fingerprint sensors
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — May 3, 2012 — Lumidigm, a global authentication solutions company, and its partner Alphatech, a Brazilian security solutions provider, will offer a technical seminar on the implementation of multispectral fingerprint sensors in a variety of environments to CTOs, CIOs, software development engineers, directors of operation, directors of sales and other interested security professionals attending Exposec 2012. Attendees will learn how to integrate Lumidigm fingerprint sensors into Windows®, Linux and embedded applications. Example biometrics solutions will include various physical and logical access control applications in industries ranging from banking and healthcare to retail and entertainment — markets and industries where biometrics need to provide a valid read on the first try, even if the locale is cold, hot, wet, dirty or dry.
“Multispectral imaging is a sophisticated technology developed to overcome the fingerprint capture problems conventional biometric readers have in less-than-ideal conditions,” explains Juan Carlos Tejedor, Sales Director for Latin America at Lumidigm. “Seminar attendees will see how this more effective solution is based on using multiple spectrums of light and advanced polarization techniques to extract unique fingerprint characteristics from both the surface and subsurface of the skin. This superior technology from Lumidigm is already being deployed in major banks Brazil.”
Senior leaders from Lumidigm, including the CEO, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Sales Director for Latin America, and a software engineer will present and demonstrate, in English, how Lumidigm’s multispectral imaging technology works and how to successfully use the software implementation tools provided by the company.
To make attendance easy, the “Biometrics for the Real World” seminars will be held at two different times: May 8 at 4:00 pm followed by cocktails and May 9 at 8:30 am with breakfast. The seminars will be presented at Hotel Intercity Premium Ibirapuera at Avenida Ibirapuera, 2577, Moema, in Sao Paolo.
