The Mercury solution supports several modes of operation. This self-contained intelligent device performs all biometric functions and processing inside the sensor and provides onboard template storage for both search and verification functions. It performs image processing, image output, feature extraction, biometric template generation, 1:1 matching or verification, 1:N matching or identification, and a pass/fail result.
Device installation and operation are straightforward, making the Mercury solution easy to use. Because of the highly integrated design and advanced architecture, Mercury data capture is incredibly accurate. In most cases a simple tap of the finger is sufficient to securely authenticate a user and ensure biometric precision.
