Principal, Epic Ventures
Ms. Spong heads the New Mexico office of Epic Ventures (formerly Wasatch Venture Fund), where she evaluates investment opportunities in New Mexico and the Southwestern region, participates in community outreach events to assist New Mexico entrepreneurs and represents Epic Ventures on the boards of several portfolio companies. She brings experience in strategic management consulting, new product development and commercialization, energy, internet services operations and investment banking. Prior to joining Epic Ventures, Ms. Spong worked as a principal for Greystone Management Consulting, the Managing Director for Razorfish running their Los Angeles office, an engagement manager for McKinsey & Company and a director for Citibank in Mexico. She was awarded a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and received her B.A. from Brigham Young University, cum laude, in Economics and Asian Studies with minors in Physics and Japanese. Prior to attending Harvard, Ms. Spong was a financial analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and a business analyst at Monitor Company in their Tokyo office.
